1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Web Dev NC ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your access to and use of the Bible Break mobile application and website (biblebreak.webdevnc.com).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Bible Break, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use and uninstall the application.

2. Service Description

Bible Break is an Android digital wellbeing utility and offline devotional reading tool designed to combine:

• A complete, offline reader for the Holy Scriptures (King James Version).
• A customizable screen-break countdown timer and overlay to encourage regular pauses from screen fatigue.
• Tools for personal devotional habit-building, including bookmarks, chapter reading history, progress tracking, and home-screen widgets.

3. Wellness and Spiritual Disclaimer

Not Medical Advice: Bible Break is designed solely as a digital wellbeing tool to remind users to take periodic breaks from screen exposure. Bible Break is not a medical device, and the software does not provide medical, ophthalmic, optometric, or psychological diagnosis, treatment, or advice. If you experience persistent eye strain, headaches, fatigue, or vision problems, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Devotional Nature: The passages presented are provided for personal reading, contemplation, and inspiration. The app does not represent an official ecclesiastical or denominational authority.

4. Scripture Content Rights

The English Bible text bundled within Bible Break is the King James Version (KJV). In the United States and internationally, the historical King James Version text is in the public domain.

5. Your Notes, Bookmarks, and Local Content

You retain full and exclusive ownership of any highlights, personal study notes, prayer entries, or bookmarks you create inside Bible Break.

Because Bible Break operates on a local-first architecture, your content is stored solely on your physical device. We do not claim any ownership, license, or right over your personal notes, nor do we access or backup your notes to our servers. You are solely responsible for managing and maintaining any backups of your device data.

6. Purchases, Upgrades, and Subscriptions

Bible Break offers core Bible reading and break timer functionality free of charge. Users may optionally purchase Bible Break Premium to access advanced customization features (such as extended timer durations, custom reflection sets, and widgets).

• Billing Provider: All purchases (including one-time lifetime purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions) are processed exclusively by Google Play Billing. We never store or handle your credit card or financial details.
• Subscription Auto-Renewal: If you purchase a subscription (e.g., monthly), it will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period expires.
• How to Cancel: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time directly through your Google Play Store app: open Google Play > tap your profile icon > tap Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > select Bible Break > tap Cancel subscription. Uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription.
• Refunds: Refund requests are governed by Google Play's standard refund policies and must be submitted through Google Play customer support.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Bible Break only for lawful purposes in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the application.
• Bypass, alter, or circumvent any security controls, licensing mechanisms, or subscription verifications.
• Redistribute, sublicense, sell, rent, or lease the application software to third parties.
• Use the application in any manner that could interfere with, disrupt, or negatively impact other devices or services.

8. Intellectual Property

The Bible Break application, including its user interface design, visual assets, proprietary code, audio chimes, icons, logos, and website materials (excluding the public domain KJV Bible text) are the intellectual property of Web Dev NC and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

9. Warranty Disclaimers

Bible Break is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

While we strive for excellence and reliable performance, Web Dev NC does not warrant that:

• The app will operate uninterrupted, timely, or completely error-free on every Android device or OS version.
• Device battery optimization or aggressive manufacturer background managers (OEM restrictions) will never delay an alarm.
• The app will meet every user's specific theological or ergonomic requirements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Web Dev NC, its developers, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, device interruption, or other intangible losses arising from your use of or inability to use Bible Break.

In all circumstances, our maximum aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or Bible Break shall be limited to the amount paid by you, if any, for Bible Break in the six (6) months preceding the claim.

11. Changes and Termination

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. When we make updates, the revised date at the top of this page will be updated. Your continued use of Bible Break following any modifications indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.

You may terminate your agreement with these Terms at any time by ceasing all use of the application and uninstalling it from your devices.
