100% Local-First Architecture
When you read the Bible, bookmark a verse, highlight a passage, or write a personal reflection note, that information is saved directly in your phone’s internal memory. It is never transmitted across the internet to our servers or any cloud database.
No Accounts, Sign-Ins, or Passwords
Bible Break does not ask you to register with an email address, create a password, or link a social media account. You simply open the app and begin reading immediately.
No Advertising and No Tracking SDKs
We do not show advertisements, banner popups, or interstitial video ads in Bible Break. We do not integrate advertising trackers, marketing cookies, or user profiling SDKs. We believe Scripture reflection should be free of digital commercialization.
Why Android Permissions Are Needed
Bible Break only requests permissions required to run the screen break timer:
- Display Over Other Apps: To present the gentle Scripture pause when your break timer elapses.
- Foreground Service & Notifications: To keep your break countdown running accurately in the background while you use other apps.
- Usage Access (Optional): If you ask Bible Break to pause reminders while using specific apps like maps or phone calls, the app checks the active app locally on your device without transmitting data anywhere.
Complete Control Over Your Data
Because everything is stored locally on your device, deleting the app or clearing the app storage in your Android settings removes 100% of your notes, bookmarks, and timer settings instantly and permanently.
